Separadas por um veio poluído do rio Tietê, Jaci e Maria se relacionam entre suas janelas. Nesse limiar, a distância entre as duas mulheres parece só aumentar. Jaci suspeita que Maria está sob cárcere doméstico e decide atravessar o rio.

Separated by a polluted part of the Tietê River, Jaci and Maria connect with each other between their windows. At this threshold, the distance between the two women seems only to increase. Jaci suspects that Maria is under domestic captivity and decides to cross the river.
